I've been having a problem thats really been frustrating and I hope someone can help me out. I have grandstream gxp2000 phones and am running asterisk@home 2.2. I have callwaiting=yes in my conf files, and call waiting is enabled on my phone settings.

When I am on a line and an incoming call comes in, it goes straight to voicemail. But, when i pick up the handset and dont make a connection to the server, i.e. just pick up and hear a dialtone, and i get an incoming call i hear the call waiting tone. Because of this behavior i'm asuming that my problem is in my asterisk configuration and not my phone settings. My gut tells me i need to modify my dial plan, but i really dont know what to do.

I'm new to all of this so any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hiya!
I must admit - I'm not familiar with A@H but it sounds like you only have one 'line' subscribed to each extension (or each phone is only set to take one call at a time) - therefor Asterisk is just following the normal cause of your dial plan after seeing that its busy and jumping to VM.

Have a check on the config of your phones to see if there is anything that suggests number of incoming calls...
